Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference ~ June 23-26, 2026

Join our team and help bring one of the nation’s finest writer’s conferences to life. Interns are an essential part of the Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference staff. Workshops, craft talks, readings and all conference activities will be held on BSU’s campus. www.northwoodswriters.org/the-conference/schedule/

As an intern, you are a full participant in one of our six intensive writing workshops (a $900 value) www.northwoodswriters.org/the-conference/faculty-workshops

You will get to know your faculty member and you will have the option to discuss a manuscript with them (a $100 value). www.northwoodswriters.org/manuscript-consultation-submission-guidelines

Interns are paid $400 for the week. Duties begin with conference setup in Hagg Sauer Hall on Tuesday, June 23 at 9 AM and wrap up Saturday afternoon, June 27.

  • Interns may not work at any other jobs during the conference.

  • There is a mandatory in-person/virtual meeting Friday afternoon, April 24 (exact time and place at BSU to be determined).
