MNWC UM Student Internship

Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference ~ June 21 – 30, 2024

The organizers of the Minnesota Northwoods Writer Conference, a week-long writers’ conference with intensive workshops for adult learners, are looking for a University of Montana student to work with them remotely in the spring of 2024 and be an intern at the conference at Bemidji State University, a little university on a big lake in a small town in northern Minnesota, from June 21 – 30, 2024.

The MNWC UM Student Intern will work with Sean Hill, a University of Montana professor, and the MNWC staff on this project-based internship. The staff and intern will develop the project(s) according to the intern’s interests and skills. The intern will receive $400.00 and free participation in a workshop during the conference.

Here are examples of possible projects:
Project A: archival of videos & YouTube channel (trim videos from previous conferences and upload to YouTube)

Project B: synthesize survey results from 2023.

Project C: build copy and social media push calendar in FB and Instagram. Build (pick a number of posts and images) to be released on (pick dates and plug into our year calendar)
